Description

Whew! Just finished this Ultramarine Honor Guard for my neighbor (and Warhammer 40,000 nemesis). This was my first time trying out Finecast and I say it was a great experience. I'm hearing a lot of negative about Finecast, with bubbles, miscast and all sort of other stories about their minis. Luckily, this Honor Guard with just a few imperfections that I easily remedied.

I actually had a harder time painting the banner than the Marine himself. Now I'd like to try out a number of Ork Finecasts now :D

Take it from someone who worked at GW when Finecast was new; originally, it had a LOT of problems. From what I can tell though (from the Sammael on Jetbike and Games Day 2012 figures I recently got), more recent stuff has been greatly improved, as they now make their moulds slightly differently to accommodate.

The photo seems very... blue. The mini looks good, but what's up with the light? Is it the camera flash?
