Awryt here's my Chaos Lord from the Chaos Space Marines half of Dark Vengeance. As you know, I traded a handful of stuff for them and I just couldn't resist painting them. I grabbed the Chaos Lord immediately and tried out a color scheme I have been itching to try out: 'reverse' Nurgle colors. Nurgle armies are primarily green with brown/rot as the secondaru so I had my army's colors with brown as the main and green as the secondary.
I also tried a 'split finish' with this one. I had some parts glossed while some are finished flat. It turned out quite well IMHO. I liked the effect so much that I'll have it done on my future works.
He will be played as is (Chaos Lord w/ mark of nurgle, plasma pistol and power/daemon sword).

He came out awesome! The colors are great and the attention to detail is fantastic! Your paint on the chain mail and face above is cool! And yeah, those orbs look all swirly and cool and the shininess really makes 'em pop! I also do varying levels of finish, but it's mostly been on ships and mecha. lol
